Tournament Info Players must have an active GHIN membership. If you need to renew your GHIN, do so on our website https://egc.golfgenius.com/pages/8158391217739050446 Format Details: Scramble holes 1-6: Each player tees off, choose the best shot, both player from there and continue until the ball is holed out. Each team must use 1 tee shots from each player. Best Ball holes 7-12: Play your own ball, record both gross scores. NOTE: If your partner is assured a better net score on a given hole, pick up and record your most likely score for pace of play purposes. Chapman holes 13-18: Each player tees off, hit your partners ball for the second shot, pick the best one, then continue playing just that ball in alternate shot format. Be careful not to tap in your own missed putt. We will play the WHITE tees to encourage low scoring. Rules: Normal USGA and EGC Local Rules. See the Local Rules link at the top of the home page. The overall winning team(s) will be based on the combined team score for 27 holes. There will be two KP per 9 (individual payouts) There will be Team Skins (team payouts) All players will play from the White tees (~3,200 yds. per Nine) We are playing the nines in this order (Red/Blue/Green). Tee times are for the Red course (1st Nine). One you complete each Nine Holes, immediately proceed to the next Nine Hole course. There are check point tee times on each card for pacing but no forced waits between Nines. 1st Nine (Red Course): CHAPMAN – Modified Alternate Shot Handicap Allowance: 60% of Low index player + 40% of High index player = Team HDCP Both golfers on the team hit drives; Each team member plays their partner's ball for the second shots; The best of the second shots is selected (pick up the other), and the two partners alternate shots into the hole with third shot played by the player whose second shot was not selected Enter one gross score per team for the ball that is played No Required minimums for how many 2nd shots are selected by player Summer Rules – there is no scenario in Alt-Shot where a ball can be picked up, cleaned or moved 2nd Nine (Blue Course) 2 Player Scramble Handicap Allowance: 35% of Low index player + 15% of High index player = Team HDCP Both team members tee off on every hole. The team select the most desirable shot and both players hit their following shot from this ball position. This process repeats on every shot until the hole is finished. Team members must hit all shots from within one club length of the selected shot. Once on the green, the selected shot must be marked before any putt is taken. All puts must be made from within 1 putter head length of the marked location. Players may not use the club or putter head length to move closer to the hole. Players moving their ball to the selected shot may place their ball for the best lie, however, they may not move the ball to improve the type of lie they have (cannot move the ball out of a hazard, out of the rough, or onto the green). One team score is recorded per hole. At least one drive per player must be used for the Nine Holes 3rd Nine (Green Course) 2 Player Best Ball Handicap Allowance: 100% per player For the best ball format, each player hits their own ball throughout the Nine.
